Background

To support large hiring campaigns, the client wanted a platform that would streamline recruitment while providing greater transparency for both recruiters and applicants.

Challenge

Recruitment campaigns in Mozambique often involve large numbers of applicants and multiple stages of evaluation. At the same time, a lack of transparency in traditional hiring processes was reducing trust among candidates.


Our client needed a platform that would centralize recruitment, simplify campaign management and allow applicants to clearly track their progress throughout the entire hiring process.

Before Decoder, much of the assessment process relied on manual administration. Employees had to be individually added to the system, permissions were managed one person at a time, and large assessment campaigns became increasingly time-consuming as organizations grew. To make matters more complex, the platform needed to satisfy enterprise-grade security standards for banking clients while remaining intuitive enough for hundreds of employees completing assessments across different devices.

Our Solution

We designed a recruitment platform that allows candidates to browse vacancies, apply using a saved profile and CVs while following the progress of their applications from submission through to the final decision.


For recruiters, we built a centralized campaign management system where hiring projects could be organized by client, interviews managed from a dedicated workspace and vacancies created and maintained across multiple recruitment campaigns.


The platform also included candidate ranking to help recruiters identify the strongest applicants more efficiently.

We designed and developed a secure assessment platform that allowed employees to complete personalized evaluations, schedule interviews, and manage their profiles from any device. Beyond the original brief, we introduced bulk user management through CSV imports, allowing administrators to onboard entire organizations at once, assign roles automatically, and manage permissions and assessments in groups instead of individually. What previously required hours of repetitive administrative work became a process that could be completed in minutes.

Design

The platform was designed around transparency and efficiency. Candidates always have visibility into the status of their applications, upcoming interviews and previous activity, reducing uncertainty throughout the recruitment process.


On the administrative side, we focused on reducing repetitive work by organizing campaigns, candidates, interviews and vacancies into clear workflows that support large recruitment projects without increasing complexity.

A clean, modular interface prioritizing clarity, consistency and efficient task completion. Every workflow was intentionally simplified to respect the user's time. Employees could quickly find and complete assessments, while administrators could confidently manage hundreds of participants without unnecessary complexity. The visual language balanced professionalism with warmth, using gradients, approachable colors, and clear interactions to make an otherwise formal assessment experience feel welcoming.

Impact

The platform reduced administrative work and improved the overall hiring experience. Candidates got clarity and visibility while recruiters got efficient tools to manage large volumes of applications.


By designing both experiences together, we created a platform that improves transparency without slowing down their process.
