Background
MONE was designed in response to the growing number of entrepreneurs and small businesses across Mozambique. While business management tools already existed, few reflected the country's regulatory environment, business practices and day-to-day operational needs.
02.
Challenge
Small business owners often rely on multiple disconnected tools to manage their finances, inventory, tasks and administrative tasks. Existing platforms also tend to be designed for international markets, making them less relevant to Mozambican businesses.
The goal was to create a single platform that simplifies business management while reflecting the local business ecosystem.

03.
Our Solution
We designed a mobile application that combines financial management, inventory tracking, client management and business administration into a single workspace. Business owners can monitor income and expenses, manage inventory, track profit margins, schedule important business deadlines and organize day-to-day tasks from one application.
The platform also includes shared workspaces for small teams, allowing employees to access relevant business information while giving owners greater visibility over business operations.

04.
Design
The interface was designed to support busy entrepreneurs who often manage their business while serving customers. We prioritised quick interactions, clear navigation and workflows that reduce the number of steps needed to record transactions or retrieve information.
Throughout the application, we adopted terminology and workflows familiar to Mozambican businesses, creating a product that feels local rather than adapted from another market.

05.
Impact
By bringing finance, inventory, administration and team collaboration together, MONE reduces the effort required to run a business while giving entrepreneurs greater visibility into how their business is performing.
