Background

JEAN is a creative marketing agency based in Maputo, Mozambique. As a new business, they needed a digital identity that reflected their personality and communicated their services clearly.

Challenge

Being the new kid on the block, JEAN needed to make a memorable first impression. The challenge was creating a website that felt distinctive and human while clearly explaining their services and also showcasing their growing portfolio.

Before Decoder, much of the assessment process relied on manual administration. Employees had to be individually added to the system, permissions were managed one person at a time, and large assessment campaigns became increasingly time-consuming as organizations grew. To make matters more complex, the platform needed to satisfy enterprise-grade security standards for banking clients while remaining intuitive enough for hundreds of employees completing assessments across different devices.

Our Solution

We designed and developed a custom landing page that expressed JEAN's personality. We embraced warm visuals, organic layouts, playful interactions and expressive details that made the brand feel approachable from the first visit.


The website includes bilingual support in both Portuguese and English along with a dynamic portfolio that allows the agency to curate its latest work without relying solely on social media and algorithms. We also created a modular hero mosaic where featured videos can be refreshed regularly to keep the homepage current and engaging.

We designed and developed a secure assessment platform that allowed employees to complete personalized evaluations, schedule interviews, and manage their profiles from any device. Beyond the original brief, we introduced bulk user management through CSV imports, allowing administrators to onboard entire organizations at once, assign roles automatically, and manage permissions and assessments in groups instead of individually. What previously required hours of repetitive administrative work became a process that could be completed in minutes.

Design

Organic shapes, hand-drawn accents, expressive imagery and subtle interactions created a sense of warmth that reflected the agency's creativity while maintaining clarity and professionalism.


We kept the information architecture simple, allowing potential clients to quickly understand what JEAN does, how they work and whether they're the right partner. The result is a website that feels welcoming without sacrificing usability.

A clean, modular interface prioritizing clarity, consistency and efficient task completion. Every workflow was intentionally simplified to respect the user's time. Employees could quickly find and complete assessments, while administrators could confidently manage hundreds of participants without unnecessary complexity. The visual language balanced professionalism with warmth, using gradients, approachable colors, and clear interactions to make an otherwise formal assessment experience feel welcoming.
